What costs are involved?

Absolutely nothing, you will be able to obtain the contact details for Free for certain tutors until 1st Feb 2007 when all tutors contact details will be free.

Can I choose my tutor?

Absolutely!
You can browse the tutor search and select the relevent tutor. You can also see the tutors availability for the time and place you require. With tutor rating from previous students you really do have everything you need to make your decision.

Can I check for tutors qualifications?

Yes, if the tutor has specified they are qualified in the subject and grade you require, you have every right to ask the tutor to show proof. We DO NOT ask for this, we provide details given to us by the tutor for information purposes only.

We provide tutor and student details for information purposes ONLY. we do not perform security checks on tutors or students. We advise the tutor and student to perform these checks themselves as they see necessary. Please read the terms and conditions for full details.

Lesson payment is handled directly between yourself and the tutor, we only handle the introduction fee. |

How much does it cost to advertise?
|
|
We have options from as little as £1 per month! You can choose from just £3.00 for 1 month, £5.00 for 3 months, £8.00 for 6 months or £12.00 for 12 months, whichever suits your budget best. For this, students can obtain your contact details for free.

Is Tutors Direct an agency?
|
|
No, Tutors Direct is a directory. The benefits of this to you is very low cost advertising and the fact that all money you earn for lessons goes directly to you. We do not charge anything other than the advertising fee.

How many adverts can I have?
|
|
You are allowed to advertise for as many subjects and for as many grades as you wish, all covered by the one £20.00 per year fee. The fee covers all adverts under the same Post Code, Tutors name and contact details provided.

What subjects can I tutor?
|
|
Any subject you are able to teach to the level you provide as your grade. Preferably we suggest it is a subject you are qualified in, however this is not essential.
|

What do I require to be able to advertise?
|
Time and teaching skills.
You need to complete the new tutors form and preferably provide a portrait picture of yourself. If you state you are qualified in the subject, you must be able to provide, if asked by the student full proof of qualification.

How do I advertise as a tutor?
|
|
Complete the new tutor form with all your details. We endeavour to check and post your details on the site within 24 hours.

When can I work?
|
|
Whenever suits you. We provide information on lesson times starting between 9.00 and 21.00. The students can see this information on your profile so its clear when you are available.

Are there any age requirements?
|
|
Tutors have to be over 18 to advertise with us.

Why should I advertise with Tutors Direct?
|
|
Because we advertise you on a searchable site that provides you with interested students, allowing you to then further your lessons with that student privately, while still being contacted with further interested students. We are always looking at more ways to market the site bringing more possible students to you.

Where could I get sent?
|
|
Wherever you stated as your teaching region. Students can check if they are within your travelling distance if you selected to travel to students, otherwise its up to the student to travel to you.

Are my personal details safe?
|
|
Students receive only your Name, Email address, web address, Messenger information, Town, Region and Mobile/Home telephone number you have supplied, no other personal details are disclosed to them.

What if I have move address?
|
|
Simple contact us at info@tutors-direct.co.uk giving us your Tutor ID(s) old address and new details. Please make sure you are emailing from the email account on your profile for security reasons.

What do I get for my monthly fee?
|
For your monthly fee, you get a place on rotation in either the main area of all searches made, or at the foot of the search.
Positioning in the search area is all dependent on amount of other featured adverts. However it is equal.

Is the fee negotiable?
|
|
For general advertising the fee is extremely competitive at under 70p a day. However there are cases where we can discuss the cost, e.g agreed mutual advertising.

What information can I display on the advert?
|
|
In search adverts display Company name, Description, Web address, Email and Telephone number in the main area. Footer adverts display Company name and web address.
|

Are adverts limited to agencies only?
|
|
We are happy to advertise you, we do not only advertise agencies, however we do ask that you are in some way connected to the education sector. E.g Supply discounted products for students. etc.
